"Harmony is necessary for the prosperity of things.

The uniformity, the common, is rather hindering all things.

The Harmony is thus, the unity of differences.

It is only when this unity is achieved, that things

and beings can thrive and take advantage of life.

On the other hand, the accumulation of all the same things leads to nothing "

Han Yu (768 - 824)

Tang Dynasty.

What you are not going to find in Tao Institute -Varna is religious propaganda. Even if we propose answers to some metaphysical questions we won’t propose you “ a path to follow towards enlightenment or salvation” as you are already following one - your own, that is the only one and the best for you.

The man between Heaven and Earth

Mencius’s ( Meng Tzu) pictogramme

Man is the intermediate between Heaven and Earth.

He is the creature born from the union of the conjugated energies of the Sky and the Earth, energies that generate, create and make life grow. Man has a round head like the Sky and square feet like the Earth.

Sky Energies

Man receives, synthesizes and integrates the external energies,

known as “Sky Energies”:

-the energy of the stars (6 sky energies)

-the energy of the five planets corresponding to the five elements

-the five seasonal energies

-the main energy- the light

Earth Energies

Man is nourished with the Earth energies:

-respiration of the air,

-hydration from the water,

-nourishment from the mineral (mineral salts), vegetal or animal foods.

-synthesis of energy, emitted by the five material substances

-tellurism

Respect of the Tao

To live a better and longer life, one has to be in harmony with the laws of the Universe and its energies. Respect of the Tao, this means to comply to the   laws of Nature, to respect the cycle of Life.

This is mentioned in chapter one of So Wen, the medical treaty:

“If the Ancient understood better the ways of how to maintain oneself ‘s good health condition, it was because they followed the laws of Yin and Yang and the ways of how to protect their lives. They used to eat convenient ( reasonable) quantities, went to bed and got up regularly, avoiding tiresome and unnecessary works. Thus, one could live up to the age of one hundred.

Simplicity in life is, for the taoists, the guarantee of a smiling, happy and long life.

The Pillars

The Chinese classical healing arts have five main supporting pillars:

- acupuncture

- dietology

- phytotherapy

- Tuina massages

- Qigong exercises

All these methods are different in their approach, but they have strictly the same target which is the energy regulation:

- firstly : by screening and prevention,

- secondly: by treating the root of the imbalance,

in order to maintain or put back man on the path of “Tao”.

Indeed the texts quote :

“ When the energy is powerful, the sickness can not appear.”

“ When the energy flows correctly, it sweeps away the sickness.”
